18 Months: All About Kai

My little guy is 18 months old today! Wow time flies! I don't know how I got so lucky to have this amazing little one in my life. I couldn't ask for a more perfect and pure child. I love having him be in our home and love his carefree and innocent little spirit that he brings. It lightens up my every day. He has been so fun, especially lately! He has quite the personality, at least he does at home. He gets really shy when we go out to other places. But here are a few fun little facts about him!

• He would be the happiest kid in the world if all he did all day was play with his basketball hoop and climb up and down the stairs.
• He says "A,B,C,D" and when I say "one" he says "two, threeee!"
• He loves BALLS!
• He loves books.
• Favorite food is corn dogs and otter pops.
• His favorite letter is "I"  (He has a magnet set of all the letters and usually only plays with the 'I' every time.)
• Favorite number is 2 
• Favorite song is "Roar" by Katy Perry... seriously adorable that he loves it! 
• And, he also loves The Itsy Bitsy Spider and The ABC's.
• He also loves his animal show and signing show. He dances to the songs on them both.
• If he wants the TV on he always says football. And he loves playing football with Daddy. He will crouch down and say 'Hike' and run for the football.
• He is getting more and more attached to things like his blankets and teddy bears. He is the biggest sweetheart because he cuddles them and kisses them. 
• He randomly likes to give kisses and hugs. He melts my heart.
• He actually talks a lot, but he is so shy that not a lot of people get to hear him. 
• He signs here and there also. I used to be better with teaching him, but now that he talks a lot he doesn't use his signs as much. But, some signs that he still says are thank you, please, more, hat, help, dog, eat, and that's all I can think of right now. I'm sure there are more. 
• He loves BALLS! 
• He also loves his trainset, and he's getting really good and putting it together himself. 
• He has the most adorable laugh and he is so goofy! 
• He knows where is eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, ears, hair, head, feet, hands, toes, fingers, and tummy are.
• He likes to clean. He is like his daddy. Even when he was just a young'un crawling around he would pick up little pieces of paper or garbage and give them to me. He never stuck a thing in his mouth. When we are at the store or other places (even at home), he will do the same thing. Pick stuff up on the ground if it's not supposed to be there. 
• He likes to include everyone. When he gives one person a high five or knuckles he has to give everyone a high five or knuckles. And he always takes turns to pass the ball to Mom and Dad equally. 
• He has good manners. He says 'Bless you' if he, or anyone else, sneezes or coughs. And has been saying please and thank you a lot more.
• A few words to describe his personality are; observant, aware, cautious, happy, goofy, smart, independent, loving, determined, bold.
• Oh, and he really loves playing with balls! 

I could seriously go on and on and on about this awesome kid! But I think that's a good list for now. I want to really remember and cherish all these little things about him that I love so much. He is so incredible and has brought so much joy into Koko's and my life. We couldn't be more happy with the person that he is right now and are excited to watch him grow... slowly! Time just goes way to fast and I can't stress in my life right now how important I feel it is to really cherish the time I get to have with just Kai right now. Soon he will be older and there will probably be a sibling or two, but I've realized how fast time goes and that I am going to hold on to this for a little while longer.

Twists and Turns of Life

Koko and I feel so blessed to be where we are in our lives right now. We have been married just over three years and we have been blessed with so much! First of all we have the best relationship ever! We say every day how funny it is with how comfortable we are with each other, there are no secrets here, even things that I'd rather him keep to himself he shares with me ha ha! I love being married to such an incredible person! He makes me want to be better. Not saying that sometimes its hard and he gets on my nerves, but at those times when we look back on it we just laugh! He is the guy I'm going to spend the rest of my life with, so we better make awesome memories and have fun doing it! I am grateful for what a hard worker he is! He has been at his job for six years and has had many promotions to where he is now at a point where he is comfortable and will stay for more years to come. I am so grateful for how motivated he is and how much he cares for Kai and me, we are so lucky to have him! I love being able to stay home with Kai and play with him, teach him, and raise him.

So, the newest news for us is that we recently bought a new home!! It is so beautiful and is the home of our dreams! This is one huge blessing that we've been able to have. It's in a beautiful area with great neighbors and so many little kids that Kai will be able to play with once he starts running around. I can't believe at our age and at this time in our lives we've been able to have so much. We owe so much to our Heavenly Father for guiding us and helping us to make the right choices. It is crazy how things work out, especially when you don't see it coming that way. Anyway, we are happy with where we are and look forward to many more opportunities and fun adventures with our little family!!

Wagon Ride!

We bought Kai a wagon for his birthday. I think it is so fun! He is so adorable in it.. and he actually sits in it better than he does in his stroller when we go for walks. So here are a few pictures of him, because he is so cute!! (and Koko was so excited when we found that Jordan hat, so we had to get it for him for his birthday too! He even keeps it on his head.. for the most part!)

Kai is One!

I can't believe my baby is one! That is pretty much all that has gone through my head this past week! I can't believe it's been a year already since he came into our family! I love him more than words can say! He brings so much joy into each and every day! He has the most incredible laugh and smile! He is so perfect! His Birthday Party was so much fun! We had a BBQ (Armenian Style!) at the park down the street. The weather turned out to be perfect! I was afraid most of the day that it would end up raining, but it stayed nice and cloudy, but not cold or rainy! Kai had so much fun destroying his cake and opening his presents! Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated our sweet boy!!

Kai's First Year: By The Month

Kai Kai

Kai is the best little guy ever!! He has brought SO much joy into our lives! It is the greatest blessing being a mom!! He has been so incredibly awesome! He is already one, but I'm going to do a few post to catch up on his first year! Right now, though, he is 18 lbs. 30 inches. He's just a little guy, but he is so perfect. He is crawling so fast and follows me around all day. He plays really well with his toys. His favorite things to do are throw balls (and everything) and push his cars (and everything) around the house. He is such a boy when it comes to balls and cars! He's been really stubborn when it comes to walking and throws fits when I try to make him stand with me. It's cute and funny right now when he falls to the ground and cries, I don't know how much longer it will be though. I hope I will be a good mom to him and be patient and understanding as he gets older. I have been trying to teach him some sign language. He does a few signs like light, more, eat, dog, hat and all done. He can also say most of those words too. He says Dad all day long and occasionally he'll say Mom. He has started to say uh-oh! It is so adorable!! I'm pretty sure they don't come any cuter than my little guy!! He has eight teeth, four on top and four on bottom. I think he's getting more by the amount of slobber he has on his shirt by the end of the day. I have had such an amazing first year with him! I am so grateful to be his momma! I love him more than anything! He is growing so fast, this year really flew by.

July 30, 2012

Kai was born July 30, 2012 at 6:07am. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. It was the most perfect thing when he came into this world!! A little about my labor... on sunday we did our regular schedule, got up and went to church, came home and relaxed a little bit. I don't remember what I was getting up for, I'm thinking it was to get us some ice cream (haha) but as soon as I got up I felt like I peed my pants! I went to the bathroom to check it out and decided that it wasn't pee.. MY WATER BROKE! Even though it was a week before my due date I had a bag packed and I was ready to go. So we got in the car and headed to the hospital. We got in and they did some test and stuff to make sure it was amniotic fluid and to see if I was ready to have the baby. It was about an hour until we got officially admitted, which was about 7 or 8 pm on Sunday night. We waited and waited, but nothing happened, I wasn't even having contractions! So they gave me pitocin to speed it up. Shortly after that I was getting contractions, got an epidural, rested for a little while, and then we were ready! When the nurse came in and told me I was at 9cm I didn't know what to think except for it's too late now, I gotta push this baby out!! As I was pushing Koko kept asking me if I was ok?! ...seriously?! ha ha why would you ask a woman that who is going through child birth at that moment!? I told him to stop asking me that because I didn't know how to answer it! What a sweetheart for caring though. So before you know it out came our sweet boy KAI! His cry was wonderful!

27 weeks, Profile

34 Weeks

Ahh he is going to be here is less than 6 weeks!!!! I can't wait. I am getting so nervous, anxious, excited, worried, happy, etc. I am so happy to be able to be a mom to this sweet little man. His nursery is all ready, for the most part. And I am getting all sorts of fun stuff at my baby showers So we are almost there. I have been home so much by myself that I can't wait to hang out with this little guy and he can keep me company! I know he is just going to be so perfect and I love him so much already. It is so special and personal to have him all to myself right now, but I can't wait to share him with my hubby and family and friends. Thanks to everyone who has been so kind and helpful to me, it means so much. I have had a great pregnancy, with very little worries or sickness. I am a lucky girl.

Koko and I are so excited and happy that we have a sweet little baby boy on the way. We have two nephews already and they are all going to be so close in age, I am excited for them to grow up together and do cute little boy things. We hope we will be good parents and talk about it all time, like what we would do in certain situations. We look around at so many great examples of parents and hope to apply those good skills as we learn and grow. I can't wait to see my little boy!

VACATION!!

Our vacation was incredible! I just can't explain how beautiful it was! We had such a great time, here are some pictures!

We went snorkeling. It was incredible. We swam with beautiful fish, but then got a little scared when we were floating right above a sting ray!

We woke to see the sunrise on our last day. It is the most beautiful thing to see!

Tulum

Mayans. When we were in Tulum I saw a shirt that said "Where would you rather spend the end of the world? :Tulum Mayan Ruins December 21,2012." It was funny.. I almost got it ha ha.

Koko and I were so excited when we saw this life size chess game. It is the first time has ever and will ever beat me! :) We had a lot of fun playing it.
